Suicide takes the lives of 31,000 teens each year. Worldwide, nearly a million people commit suicide every year. This is more than the sum of those killed in war. Suicide is the third leading cause of death in 15 to 24 year olds… Where is the hope? That is what so many people are desperately…
I love being here, I really do. But at the same time it’s not doing great things to my morale. Every five minutes someone asks me where I’m going to school, if I’m working, where I go, and if I’m planning to come back. My mom texted me, half jokingly to go into the registers office and register for spring semester. I want to so badly.
I can’t do this.
Even as the thunder rolls and the wind blows and the rain falls, I’m reminded that sometimes along with the blessings that rain brings, there is destruction in this world. We know the pain of death, only because we know life. Today I mourn the loss of a life that was stolen.
My life loving,…
Why? I literally have NO reason to, for when I am weak HE IS STRONG. When it seems my friends and loved ones have gone, HE IS MY FRIEND AND MY FATHER. “When the wicked advance against me to devourme, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall.”
So why should I be worried? The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, but He came that we may have LIFE and life more abundantly. That’s why He died! To take away our sins, thats why He tells us to cast our cares on Him. He can take it! He can handle what we cannot. So when you’re worried, find solace in the fact that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Even if there is literally no one on this planet who knows what you are going through, HE KNOWS, I mean, He is all knowing, isn’t He? Some of us get so complacent in our faith that we forget why He died…we seem to only use the story of His death when trying to share our faith, but we must also remember! That’s why we take communion, isn’t it? Not to mourn His death, but to remind ourselves that HE DIED FOR OUR SINS. HE DIED TO HEAL US.
So when you’re “alone” and feel like there’s no hope, remember that He is always with us. His name is Immanuel for a reason, “God is with Us.”
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Never give up. Never forget that He is with you. Keep Calm, Carry On and let Him be God.
- He gave me an undeserved life.
- He has always loved me and always will.
- Whenever i need Him, He is always there.
- He gave His one and only son so i could live.
- He gives me food, water, and shelter.
- He made me special in a sea of people.
- He gave me free will.
- He made a beautiful world.
- His forgiveness amazes me.
- And last, He knows what is best for me.
